Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf says he’s pleased with the progress Pennsylvanians are making in getting vaccinated against Coronavirus.
Wolf says Pennsylvania is not seeing the significant surge in cases other states are seeing because the state has been doing a good job in getting vaccinations out there. Not only is Pennsylvania currently 8th in the nation in terms of the percentage of the population that have received a first dose of vaccine, Wolf said that the state is first in that category for a particular age group.
Audio PlayerWhile the nation as a whole is averaging up to 30 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people, Wolf says PA is averaging just 10 cases per 100,000 people.
Indiana County’s vaccination rates remain on the lower end. Currently 34.59 percent of the county’s population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19, while 37.78 percent of the population have received at least one dose of vaccine.
