As now Tropical Storm Ida continues to make its way through the gulf coast states, the National Weather Service says that Indiana County could see some significant rainfall from Ida’s remnants.
The National Weather Service has scheduled a flash flood watch to start 2:00 AM Wednesday night and will run 24 hours to 2:00 AM on Thursday. During that time, heavy rainfall from Ida’s remnants could result in some flash flooding. Two to four inches of rain is expected throughout the area, with some areas seeing up to six inches of rainfall. Along with the flash flooding, flooding could also happen along the rivers and streams in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Accuweather meteorologist Kerry Schwindenhammer said how much rain were going to get depends on Ida’s track.
