For the 27th day in a row, the national average price for a gallon of gas has gone up.
Triple-A reports that average cost of gas in the United States is now up to $3.38 a gallon. It was only a slight increase from the day before, but it also represents a six cent increase from last Monday, and a 20-cent increase from last month. Over the last year, gas prices increased $1.22.
Pennsylvania’s average this morning is also on the rise to $3.56 a gallon, which held steady from yesterday, but it represents a nine-cent increase over last week and a 23-cent increase over the last month. Gas prices are up $1.09 over the last year.
Indiana County’s average gas price is now $3.54 a gallon, which puts the county in the middle of the regional averages. Armstrong County has the lowest at $3.52 a gallon. Westmoreland and Cambria each have $3.53 a gallon. Clearfield has an average of $3.56 a gallon, while Jefferson has the highest gas price average in the region with $3.57 a gallon.
Centre County has the lowest county-wide average in the state at $3.50 a gallon, with Forest and Warren counties tied for the highest average at $3.65 a gallon.
According to Gasbuddy.com, Indiana, Homer City, Clymer, and most of Blairsville’s gas prices are at $3.55 a gallon. VP Racing Fuels in Blairsville is reporting the lowest price at $3.49 a gallon.
