The former parish priest at Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church in Indiana has passed away at the age of 72.
Reverend Thomas A. Federline, the pastor at St. Pius X and Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parishes in Mount Pleasant, died on Monday at UPMC McKeesport from what the Catholic Diocese of Greensburg says were “serious aftereffects” of covid-19. He’d been diagnosed with covid in September and was gradually weaned off a ventilator, but then he contracted pneumonia.
Father Federline was the pastor at St. Bernard from June of 2013 until July of last year. He’d been a part of his family’s real estate business prior to earning a master of divinity degree and being ordained a priest in 1985.
Visitation for Father Federline will be from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on November 18th at the Hart Funeral Home in Murrysville. There will be additional viewing the next day from 9:30 AM until the 11 AM funeral Mass at Mother of Sorrows Parish in Murrysville.
