A Blairsville man could face charges connected with an incident on November 10th at the Sheetz in Burrell Township. State police say that at 4:40 PM, a known 24-year-old man from Mount Union saw that a 25-year-old Blairsville man was pointing his camera phone at him while he was using the men’s restroom at the convenience store. Police believe that the younger man was either taking a still picture or a video of the man using the restroom.
More ID theft cases have been reported in Indiana County. State police say that one incident was reported on November 6th at 2:00 PM. The victim, a 22-year-old Indiana woman was scammed out of $1000. The investigation continues in this incident. The other ID theft was reported on November 10th at 4:29 in Blairsville. The victim, a 32-year-old Blairsville woman, was notified that an unemployment claim was made using her identity. No solvability factors were discovered in the investigation.
