On Tuesday night, the Indiana Borough Council approved advertising their 2022 budget.
The budget contains no tax increase and is the same budget that the borough was presented with during their agenda prep meeting earlier this month. Sean McDaniel of the borough’s administration committee said that the borough has been very careful with how money was to be spent.
The budget will be up for final approval at the December voting meeting.
In other business, council approved a $40,000 donation to Citizens Ambulance, using American Rescue Plan funds to make the donation. The borough also accepted a grant from the Department of Justice for the police department. The $11,998 grant will be used for an upgrade for the entry system for the police department.
