Gas prices across the United States and Pennsylvania are trending lower as of this morning.
AAA East Central reports that the federal average is now $3.33 a gallon. That’s down five cents from last week at this time and eight cents lower from last month at this time. Last year at this time, gas prices were at $2.15 a gallon due to a lack of demand from the Covid-19 pandemic.
In Pennsylvania, the average cost of a gallon of gas is now $3.56 a gallon, a one-cent decrease from last week and three cents down from last month.
Indiana County’s average is $3.54 a gallon as of this morning. Comparing Indiana County’s average to surrounding counties, Indiana County is in the middle. The lowest average is in Armstrong County at $3.51 a gallon. Westmoreland county’s average is $3.52. Jefferson County is tied with Indiana County at $3.54 a gallon. Cambria County is at $3.58 a gallon, and Clearfield County has the highest in the region at $3.59 a gallon.
The lowest average is in Union County at $3.49 a gallon, while the highest average is in Pike County $3.62.
According to Gasbuddy.com, Gas prices in Indiana and Clymer are at $3.55 a gallon. Homer City’s gas price is now $3.49 a gallon. Gas prices in Blairsville are at $3.43 a gallon, with the exception of VP racing fuels, which is reporting the cheapest gas price this morning at $3.39 a gallon. The highest gas price in the immediate region is at the BP station in Shelocta, at $3.59 a gallon.
