Plea court and sentencing hearings are scheduled for today at the Indiana County Courthouse, including one for a man charged with stealing in one case and assault in the other.
38-year-old Bradley Randall Smith of Indiana will be in court today for two different cases. In a case that goes back to October 13th of last year, Smith was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness. On that day, Indiana Borough Police said that Smith was allegedly under the influence of drugs and during an argument, he struck a woman with a cell phone.
He will also have a sentencing hearing today for a charge of retail theft that he pleaded guilty to back on November 24th. State police say on March 6th, he worked with 35-year-old Shierlee A. Webster of Indiana to steal a Bissel Rug Scrubber from the White Township Walmart. The public was able to identify Smith from pictures on the scene.
