Another jump in the cost of gasoline was recorded on Friday.
Pennsylvania’s average is now over the $4.00 a gallon mark, with an average of $4.09, according to AAA. The national average as of this morning is $3.92 a gallon.
Indiana County’s average is now $4.00 a gallon this morning, tying it with Cambria and Armstrong county. Clearfield and Jefferson County’s is slightly higher at $4.01 a gallon, with Westmoreland County the highest at $4.05 a gallon.
Cameron County now has the lowest county-wide average in the state at $3.93 a gallon. Susquehanna county now has the highest average in the state at $4.19 a gallon.
According to Gasbuddy.com, gas prices vary depending on who you frequent. This morning, gas prices went up another 20 cents to $4.19 at Sheetz stores in Indiana, Homer City, Clymer and the Burrell Township Sheetz along William Penn Highway, while the price is lower at other outlets.
Triple-A Mid-Atlantic spokesperson Jana Tidwell says there are things PA drivers can do to improve their fuel economy.
