Police also report three attempted identity theft scams. In one, a caller claimed to be the grandson of a 79-year-old man who lives along Shelley Drive in White Township. In a second case, a 70-year-old woman who lives along Shelley Drive was contacted by someone “looking for his grandma”. And in a third case, a 70-year-old Homer City woman was contacted by someone who claimed he’d been in an accident, had been arrested for texting and driving, and needed bail money.
