Freshman Dallis Dillard was pressed into service this year when leading scorer Shawndale Jones went down with a season-ending knee injury in December. Lombardi turned to Dillard to replace Jones in the lineup.
In addition to IUP winning the Atlantic Regional, the other Regional winners were Augustana in the Central, Nova Southeastern in the South, Augusta in the Southeast, Bentley in the East, Hillsdale in the Midwest, Black Hills State in the South Central, and Chico State in the West. IUP, Augustana, Augusta, and Bentley were number one seeds in their Regionals. Hillsdale, Chico State, and Black Hills State were all number three seeds in theirs.

Seton Hill yesterday announced that it will not retain head men’s basketball coach Kendrick Saunders or assistant Ryan Joyce, as the Griffins “move in a different direction with the program,” according to athletic director Chris Snyder.
Saunders coached Seton hill for three seasons, and was 3-24 this season. They were 9-19 in his first year and 4-22 last season.
