The latest Primary Election polls show Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman emerging in the Democrat Party race for the nomination for U.S. Senate, while David McCormick and Mehmet Oz are just a percentage point apart for the Republican nod.
The website Politico says Fetterman leads Congressman Conor Lamb by “a wide margin” in both public and internal polls, but does not cite specific polls or numbers. Meanwhile, a poll conducted by The Hill and Emerson College places McCormick at 18 percent and Oz at 17 percent for the Republicans.
In the race for Governor, the latest WHTM/The Hill/Emerson College poll shows Lou Barletta leading Doug Mastriano by just four-tenths of a percentage point for the Republican nomination, 19.8 percent to 19.4 percent. David White is at 11.6 percent and no other candidate is in double figures. Josh Shapiro leads the Democrat Party race for Governor by an overwhelming margin.
