The Marion Center School Board will hold a combined work session and voting meeting tonight, and several upgrades to the buildings will be on the agenda.
In the buildings and grounds section of the meeting, the board is expected to approve a bid from Combustion Services and Equipment Company in the amount of $486,000 for an air quality project, a bid of $10,200 from Shadco to complete drainage alterations and a bid of $17,218 from DirecTec to replace the fire alarm system at the High School complex.
The board will also vote on the ICTC budget at $7,175,403. Marion Center’s share comes to $688,796, which is a decrease of $3,130 from last year.
Marion Center’s meeting will be held at 7:00 tonight in the high school library.
The Indiana Area School Board’s meeting normally scheduled for tonight has been cancelled, but there will be an Academic-Extra Curricular committee meeting tonight at 5:30 in the district boardroom. One of the discussion items includes an update to the renovation of Eisenhower Elementary School. The discussion is expected to include enrollment levels at the school, discussion of room size, and a review of the room and function list.
The board will also discuss the results to a survey on E-Sports and a training partnership concerning Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
