The price of gas has once again taken a sharp jump in Indiana County.
After reporting that gas prices were at $4.29 a gallon on Friday morning, Gasbuddy.com reported that prices once again jumped ten cents to $4.39 a gallon across Indiana, Homer City, Clymer and Blairsville. Shelocta still reports a $4.19 per gallon price at the BP station on Route 422.
Indiana County’s Average gas price according to Triple A this morning went up to $4.32 a gallon. Among the surrounding counties, Armstrong County has the lowest average at $4.28 a gallon, followed by Westmoreland County at $4.29 a gallon. Indiana follows that, and then Jefferson and Cambria Counties each reporting $4.33 a gallon. Clearfield County’s gas price is $4.34 a gallon on average.
Pennsylvania’s average went up four cents from $4.28 a gallon to $4.32 a gallon. That’s 12 cents higher from last week and a penny higher from last month. The national average is $4.17 a gallon, a two-cent jump from Friday, a five cent increase from last week but a six cent decrease from last month.
