A new exhibit unveiled Thursday night at the Jimmy Stewart Museum brought a touch of royalty to the facility.
The museum unveiled the temporary exhibit “Grace Kelly: The Girl Next Door”, which contains personal items ranging from personal possessions to reference materials used by movie studios. The star of the collection is a collection of dresses from Kelly, including an iconic dress worn by Kelly when she co-starred with Stewart in the film “Rear Window”.
John Thomas, who is loaning the items to the museum, said that the public still has an interest in Kelly, saying that she became an American princess when she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
The exhibit opens Friday as part of the museum’s celebration of Stewart’s birthday. The museum is also offering a three-day film festival as part of the festivities over the weekend. For more information, log on to www.jimmy.org
