Tonight will be a big night for some individuals as the finalists for the 2022 Leader’s Circle awards will be announced.
The announcement comes tonight during the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce After Hours event at the Indiana Gazette. The nominees announced will be for the Male and Female Civic Leader of the year, along with the Athena and Young Athena Awards.
The first Civic Leader of the Year award was handed out in 1979. In 1984 the Civic Leader award was separated into Male and Female Civic Leader of the Year. In 1987, the first ATHENA award was given out and in 2017, the Leader’s Circle added the ATHENA Young Professional award. The Male and Female Civic Leader awards focus on people in Indiana County who have continually made a positive impact on their communities.
The ATHENA award is presented to a man or woman who demonstrates the qualities embodied in the Athena Leadership Model and has achieved the highest level of professional excellence, contributes time and energy to improve the quality of life for others, and actively assists others, particularly women, in realizing their full leadership potential.
The ATHENA Young Professionals award honors emerging women leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their professional lives, and serve as a role model for young women both personally and professionally.
The Leaders Circle awards banquet is scheduled for October 27th at 6:00 PM at the Indiana County Country Club. For more information, you can log on to indianacountyleaderscircle.com
