The Indiana County Commissioners approved supplying American Rescue Plan funds for two different projects during their meeting Wednesday morning.
The projects are a storm drain project in Black Lick Township that will replace pipes, repair guiderails and pave areas of Howard and Mahan Roads. The other project is in Rayne Township to help recover roadways damaged in the Water Renovation 20 Project.
Indiana County Commissioner Sherene Hess said that the ARP money has become vitally important to these projects and others like them down the road.
In other business, the commissioners tabled accepting bids for the South 15th Street Storm Sewer Improvement-Replacement Project. Representatives with the planning office said that more time was needed to review the bids before they made a recommendation on who to award the projhect to.
