Indiana County first responders had an early start this morning as four vehicle accidents were reported within two hours.
The first report was a vehicle accident in Burrell Township.
Indiana County 911 reported the accident around 7:52 this morning along Route 22 East near Palmerton Road, just east of Pine Ridge Park. Initial scanner reports say an SUV was travelling in the passing lane and crashed into the median. A portion of the car was left sticking out on the roadway.
No injuries were reported. Traffic was reduced to one lane and fire crews are currently on scene.
More crashes were reported throughout the morning. One was reported on Route 286 near Short Road in Cherryhill Township. Clymer Volunteer Fire department was dispatched at 8:51 AM to the intersection. Scanner reports say a vehicle collided with a guide rail in the area. No injuries or entrapment reported.
The next two accidents happened within the next hour. One was reported around 9:30 near 12554 Route 286 near Clarksburg. Scanner reports say a vehicle was overturned but no one in the car was trapped inside the car. Coal Run and Iselin fire crews responded. No word on any injuries.
A fourth crash was reported around 9:43 as Clyde and Armagh Fire Departments were dispatched to a single-car crash near the Route 259 off-ramp in West Wheatfield Township. The car involved was overturned and was leaking gasoline. No word on any injuries.
A fifth crash was reported at 10:45 a.m. near Yellow Creek Campground in Cherryhill Township. Indiana County 911 dispatched Cherryhill Township Fire Department and state police to 9679 Route 422 East for the crash. Scanner reports say a tractor-trailer jackknifed and is leaking fuel. No injuries or entrapment were reported.
