A Johnstown woman was sentenced today in Indiana County Court for charges connected to a drug bust in Armagh in 2020.
Court documents show 23-year-old Jasmine Ann Dorsey will serve 11-and-a-half months to two years less than one day in Indiana County Jail, along with two years of probation, for a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver in connection with a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 56 and 711 that happened on September 5, 2020. A second charge of possession of a controlled substance was not prosecuted.
On that day, police approached the vehicle and noticed an odor of marijuana. Both 20-year-old Treazure Lumair Toney of Pittsburgh and 23-year-old Izaih Lamont Toney of Johnstown were identified in the incident along with two others. They were told to get out and Treazure threw a cup of liquid at the officer then fled on foot. After a half-mile chase, he was eventually caught. During the chase, Izaih hid two handguns in the nearby weeds. He was arrested and found to be in possession of 21 baggies of suspected crack cocaine, a baggie containing eight rocks of crack cocaine and a baggie of marijuana.
Treazure was ordered to serve six months to a year in prison and a year of probation, while Iziah was sentenced to 11 months to a day less than two years for a guilty plea to a charge of carrying a firearm without a license.
