Another member of the Penguins 1991-92 Stanley Cup champion teams will forever be enshrined in immortality.
Goalie Tom Barrasso, who spent 12 seasons with the Penguins, was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2023 on Wednesday. Barrasso spent 12 seasons in Pittsburgh, going 226-153-53 and collecting 22 shutouts in net. The five-time Vezina Trophy finalist ranks second in franchise history in games played (460), wins (226), and shutouts, and holds the most points with 31.
Barrasso now joins 10 other members of the 91-92 teams to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The last was Mark Recchi in 2017.
