While on-field action for Major League Baseball is on hold for the All-Star break, the Pirates and the remaining 31 teams unveiled their 2024 regular season schedules on Thursday.
Opening Day for all teams will be Thursday, March 28. For the Pirates, they will open with two road series. One will be in Miami (March 28-31), while the other will be in Washington (April 1-4). The home opener will take place April 5 as the Bucs welcome the Orioles for a rematch of the 1971 and 1979 World Series.
Also coming to PNC Park next season will be the Los Angeles Angels and Tampa Bay Rays, marking their first appearances since 2017.

Across MLB, Jackie Robinson Day will be April 15, Lou Gehrig Day will be June 2, and Roberto Clemente Day is slated for September 15. On those dates, all teams will play.
Next season also features a special game between the Cardinals and Giants on June 20. That game will be played in Birmingham, Alabama, at Rickwood Field, the oldest professional baseball field in the U.S. and former home of the Negro Leagues’ Birmingham Black Stallions.
