Indiana County First responders were called out for a handful of incidents on Friday.
The first call of the day was at 3:27 PM as a van rear-ended a tractor-trailer truck on Route 22 West in Burrell Township. Black Lick and Blairsville fire fighters were dispatched to the intersection of 22 and Plaza Road for the incident in the westbound lanes. State Police and Citizens’ Ambulance were also called to the scene. Information on the crash has not been released.
A vehicle fire was reported a few minutes later on Route 119 in Rayne Township. Marion Center and Plumville fire departments and State Police were called to the scene. Marion Center fire officials said on their Facebook page that the fire was near Washington Road.
State Police have not issued reports on either incident.
During the rainstorm last night, Cherryhill Township Fire Department was called to a property on Swamp Road in Cherryhill Township for a pumping detail at 9:23 PM.
And crews were out early this morning as Clyde Fire Department was called to Bolivar in Westmoreland County at 3:54 this morning to help with a gas leak.
