River Valley School District superintendent Philip Martell will be at the White House tomorrow for a summit on school cybersecurity. The event will be hosted by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Majorcas and will focus on establishing best practices for schools to protect their digital infrastructure from cyber threats.
River Valley’s STEAM Academy has pioneered a program to train students for careers in cybersecurity.
Also participating in Monday’s summit are the FBI, the FCC, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, state agencies, and other school districts.
