Richard Musselman, 82, of Gipsy, PA went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2023 from Punxsutawney Area Hospital in Punxsutawney, PA.
The son of Ralph Musselman and Maldon (Claar) Musselman Patterson, he was born on December 9, 1940 in Claysburg, PA.
On December 29, 1990, he married the former Margaret “Peggy” Patrick and they shared over thirty-two years of marriage together.
Richard was a member of the Gipsy Christian Church, whose closeknit congregation recently blessed him with a surprise hospital visit to share their faith and friendship by singing hymns in his honor.
Prior to retiring in 2003, he worked as a mover for E.L. Dinges Moving & Storage of Hollidaysburg, PA.
He enjoyed hunting, gardening and traveling. Richard and Peggy traveled extensively across the United States and Canada, as well as going on many cruises together. For their last vacation in August, Richard drove them to Niagara Falls, which was also the location of their first vacation together many years ago.
Richard is survived by his loving family; his wife Peggy, his daughter Lisa Willis and husband Dylan and his stepson: Glen Williams and girlfriend Danielle Barreto; his two step grandchildren: Elizabeth Raifsnider and husband Jeremy; Jason Werner and wife Jennifer; his four step great grandchildren: Harper and Tanner Raifsnider and Corey and Laney Werner; his brother: Carey Musselman and wife Kathy, his numerous nieces and nephews and his extended family: David Williams and wife Libby and many others and his Gipsy Christian Church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation. Speaker Larry Nichol will officiate. Interment will be at Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
