CHAMBER NAMES 2024 BUSINESS HALL OF FAME CLASS

At its annual meeting on Friday, the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce unveiled its 2024 class for the Business Hall of Fame.

Honorees for the 8th class of the Business Hall of Fame are

DECEASED CLASS

  • Heath Clark (R&P Coal Company)
  • John Sutton (Indiana Normal School)

LIVING CLASS

  • Bryan Force (Force Environmental, Force Turf Solutions, East American, Inc.)
  • Ann Lezanic (9th Street Deli)
  • Mike Price (First Commonwealth Bank)

CHAIRMAN’S SELECTION

  • Former Indiana County Chamber President Dana Henry

Induction ceremonies will be held in September of 2024.  Their stories will also join the others after the induction ceremony in the Hall of Fame displayat the KCAC.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE FACING VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANIES

The spring has been a difficult one for first responders, with fatal accidents, wildfires, and the storms and resultant power outages.  What are the biggest challenges facing volunteer fire companies?

Personnel.  The average age of a Pennsylvania firefighter is 48.  
Equipment.  New fire trucks start at $500,000 and can top $1 million.
Mandates.  Their training requirements are too difficult.
Danger!  A first responder is always in jeopardy.
All of the above and more!
