The Pittsburgh Penguins have already started celebrating the career of Jaromir Jagr ahead of his jersey retirement ceremony before tomorrow night’s game between the Penguins and the LA Kings. Jagr and several other former Penguins took part in a Q and A session at Rivers Casino. Some of the items addressed included his departure from the franchise in 2001 so they could keep three productive forwards on the team.
Jagr is expected to attend practice today at the Penguins complex today. Ceremonies to retire Jagr’s jersey number will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, and we’ll have the ceremonies as part of an extended pre-game show on U-92.5 FM. Faceoff between the Penguins and the LA Kings will be 6:00 PM.
