Karen Denise (Breznai) Facteau, 62, of Elderton, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her home.
A daughter of Edward B. and PeggyAnn (Bell) Breznai, she was born Nov. 12, 1961, in Upper St. Clair.
Karen was a member of the Ernest Bible Church, United Presbyterian Church in Plumville and the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg. She retired from SCI Pine Grove, where she worked as head of Human Resources. Karen’s passion was Girl Scouts and she served as a Leader and also ran the Day Camp at Blue Spruce Park. She was also the treasurer of the Quarterback Club (QBC) at West Shamokin. Family was everything to her, especially her grandkids.
She is survived by two children: Megan Sleigh (Christopher Cujas), and Matthew Facteau (Amber Primorich); five siblings: Patricia DeAntonio and husband Anthony, Edward Breznai and wife Minda, Carl Breznai and wife Kelly, Michael Breznai, and Jean Davis and husband Thomas; three grandchildren: Isic, Gavinn and Ivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Karen’s honor to Blue Spruce Day Camp in care of Kimberly McCullough, 955 N Ben Franklin Rd, Indiana, PA 15701.
