The White Township Planning Commission last night approved both a final minor subdivision and a final site plan for a new store and distribution center behind the Aldi along Oakland Avenue.
The new center will be for Napa Auto Parts, with about 3000 square feet of the 20,880 square foot facility to be a retail space, and the rest to be a distribution center to send parts out to other Napa stores. The store is expected to employ 15 people once it is up and running. It is the latest facility to go up in the Oakland Avenue Corridor and township manager Chris Anderson said it was good to see.

The board also approved the construction of a new hangar at Jimmy Stewart Airport. The 12,000 square-foot facility will go in the 100 block of Woody’s Way, and will house several planes at once, a conference room, an office, storage and mechanical room and restroom. Because of the project, there will be a need to move the weather tower. That move was also approved by the commission and by the FAA.
