Frank Everett Lewis, 84, of Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born on August 24, 1939, in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Roof) Lewis.
Frank graduated from Marion Center High School and enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He worked at and owned various businesses throughout his life, as a salesman for Tri-Star Motors, an insurance man, as a general contractor, as well as owning the Fore Driving Range for over 27 years. During this time, he taught many to golf and instilled a love of golf in many people.
Frank was a member of the Saltsburg Legion as well as Calvary Presbyterian Church. He loved golfing and, most importantly, the time spent with his family.
Surviving Frank is his wife of 63 years, Lois Jean (Wadell) Lewis, son John W. (Brenda) Lewis, of Indiana, grandson Brock Lewis, of Indiana, and brothers Clyde Lewis, of Indiana; and Dwight (Donna) Lewis of California.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother Glenn Lewis, and sisters Harvine Lightcap and Carol Ottersberg.
Franks family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, as well as the 10th floor crew at Conemaugh Hospital for the exceptional love and care given to Frank.
Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 6-8 PM in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Reverend David Hanna as officiant.
Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
