While the owners of the shuttered New Village Institute in Blairsville have not sold the property, there is still some hope for the automotive school.
Officials with Henderson Auctions confirmed that none of the bids submitted in a sealed-bid auction last week met the qualifications set out by the owner of the property. While the five-day liquidation auction is listed on the website, that auction was postponed until the middle of the month. Henderson Auctions CEO Lawrence Green confirmed that a bidder had submitted a counterproposal to the owners for the property, and discussions were continuing. Should those discussions not result in the purchase of the property, the liquidation auction would start August 19th and would run for five days. which would start with items in the facility and end with the building and site itself. Those auctions would be open to the public.
The NVI property at the Corporate Campus Business Park in Blairsville was the former home of Wyotech until it was closed by Zenith Education Group in 2017. NVI relaunched the school in 2022.
