IUP welcomed new students over the weekend as they moved in at on-campus housing, and today marks the start of welcome week activities.
The week is a mix of academic meetings, informational programming, and chances for students to get to know one another and become familiar with the campus and Indiana Borough. This includes a University Welcome event today at 3:30 PM at the KCAC, followed by a community dinner from 4-7 in the Oak Grove. On Thursday, the University will hold the “Talon Walk” from 4-6 at IRMC Park in Downtown Indiana to familiarize themselves with the area and its businesses.
On Friday, IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll will host an Opening of the Academic Year program at Fisher Auditorium at 9:00 AM.
Continuing students will move in Saturday and Sunday, with the first day of classes for the Fall semester next Monday.
