An Indiana man was charged with public drunkenness following an incident Friday evening. Indiana Borough Police responded to a report of a man, later identified as 24-year-old Giovanni Lewandowski, sleeping in the 600 block of Washington Street around 9:45 p.m.
Officers say Lewandowski was under the influence of a controlled substance to a degree where he was a danger to himself and others. He was issued a non-traffic citation before being released to a sober adult.
Another Indiana man was charged with public drunkenness following an incident along Gompers Avenue Saturday morning. Indiana Borough Police say they responded to a man stumbling in the roadway around 12:46 a.m. Officers identified the man as 21-year-old Frank Koprowicz and they say he was under the influence of alcohol to a degree where he was a danger to himself and others.
Koprowicz was cited for public drunkenness and later released.
