Floyd Wayne Lewis, 76 of Brenizer, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. He was born September 1, 1948 in Bairdstown, PA, the son of the late Ira Glenn Lewis, Sr. and Dora (McCurdy) Lewis. He retired after 24 years of service in the military having served in the Marines & Army National Guard. His service included serving during the Vietnam war. After his military service he worked at FMC as a machinist. Floyd was a member of the Gray Station Community Church, Derry, PA. He enjoyed working on cars and was especially proud of his 1955 Chevy. He was always there when you needed him, was a jack of all trades and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Marsh) Lewis, Brenizer, PA; son, Robert Lewis & wife, Bridgette, Brenizer, PA; son, Richard Lewis, Brenizer, PA; son, Michael Lewis & wife, Diane, TN; grandchildren: Alexis, Patrick, Jonna, Samantha, Lauren and Jesse; 14 Great Grandchildren; brother, Ira Glenn Lewis, Jr. & wife, Joyce, VA; brother, Russell Lewis & wife, Durea, Blairsville, PA; brother, Harry Lewis & wife, Susie, Torrance, PA and brother, Carl Lewis & wife, Valerie, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gladys Wilkinson and mother-in-law , Irene Marsh.
The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 2-6 PM. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM with Pastor Jim Henigin officiating. Blairsville Military Honor Guard and the US Marines will conduct military services. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
