On Tuesday night, the United School Board approved a resolution that rejects River Valley’s withdrawal from ICTC, and the hiring of Ira Weiss as special counsel for the district.
Superintendent Dr. Richard Lucas said that the issue was more complex than just River Valley leaving.
Lucas also said that the board hired Weiss as each sending district is expected to be named in the lawsuit River Valley may file to leave the school.
In other business, the board approved resolution for a general obligation bond for up to $5.5 million to provide funds for the capital improvement projects at the high school and elementary school.
