James Robert Carloni, 51, of Indiana, lost his battle to cancer on September 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was the son of John and Constance (Weimer) Carloni.
He graduated in 1991 from Indiana Area Senior High School. After graduation he was in the Army and Army Reserves from 1994-2002. Then he began his career as an HVAC specialist at Shoenfelt Plumbing and Heating for 30 years. He belonged to the Indiana Fox and Coon Club. He spent many years helping to coach his daughter’s softball teams. James also enjoyed helping the Indiana Little League. Woodworking was one of his favorite hobbies and he spent many hours in his woodshop making beautiful pieces. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time hunting with his close friends and girls. James also looked forward to the first day of trout season every year and going to camp with his brothers.
James was proceeded in death by his father, John Carloni, his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, and infant nephew Terry Carloni.
James is survived by his wife, Kelly of almost 25 years, and his two daughters, Lauren Lydic (Hunter) of Indiana, and Alyssa Carloni of Indiana; Mother, Constance Carloni; Brothers Chad Carloni of Indiana and Roman Carloni (Rachel) of Greensburg. He is also survived by two brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s, one niece, one great niece, and 5 nephews. He is also missed by many friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Per James request there will not be a funeral service. Family and friends are invited to celebrate James’ life Wednesday from 4 – 7 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to great family and friends who have supported us throughout this fight. The doctors and nurses at the Indiana Cancer Center for being so caring and compassionate. The VNA for their kindness and helping make the process peaceful for James.
