IUP’s Associate Vice President for International Education and Global Engagement was recently honored by the Pennsylvania Council for International Education.
Dr. Michele Petrucci, who also serves as Executive Director for the American Language Institute, was named the PACIE’s recipient for the David Portlock Award for Outstanding International Educator, which recognizes international educators who exhibited evidence of on-going mentoring in colleagues, exemplary leadership on campuses, and consistent contribution to the field.
Petrucci joined IUP’s American Language Institute in 1997, then promoted to lead IUP’s Office of International Education in 2003.
She will be presented with the award next month at PACIE’s annual conference in Philadelphia.
