Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson and rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson were both listed as “limited” as the Steelers opened practice for this Sunday’s home opener against the Chargers. Guard Isaac Seumalo and tight end MyCole Pruitt were both out.
Tight end Rodney Williams was transferred from the practice squad to the active roster and wide receiver Ben Skowronek was placed on injured reserve with a bad shoulder. Tight end Matt Sokol and wide receiver Jaray Jenkins were added to the practice squad.
Steelers cornerbacks Donte Jackson and Joey Porter Jr. will be feeling the pressure of facing the Chargers and their gunslinger quarterback Justin Herbert on Sunday. Jackson says Herbert is a handful.

The Denver Broncos have added former IUP edge rusher Dondrea Tillman to their active roster. Tillman was a star for the Birmingham Stallions as they won their third straight UFL championship this past spring and was a standout for the Broncos in training camp.
Another former IUP star, Irv Charles, is gaining attention in the NFL. He’ll be on the field for the New York Jets against new England tonight as NFL Week Three kicks off in New Jersey.
