A motions hearing is scheduled today for a man charged with killing a man in a car crash in August of 2021.
Court documents show 35-year-old Joshua Brink will go before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco for the hearing. Brink is charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, accidents involving death or personal injury, involuntary manslaughter, DUI and other crimes for the crash that killed 52-year-old Douglas Dalessio. Police say that Brink was driving an SUV on Barnard Road in West Mahoning Township when he veered off. He over-corrected to get back on the road, but the SUV went up an embankment and hit a lawn tractor driven by Dalessio. Brink fled the scene but was later found by police. Dalessio died at Allegheny General Hospital.
Today’s hearing will concern the exclusion of testimony. Jury selection is scheduled to begin October 21st.
