State police have released statistics for their work during IUP’s Homecoming over the weekend.
While no major events were reported, troopers conducted 52 traffic stops and arrested one person for drug-related DUI. Troopers also investigated five traffic crashes, issued 32 traffic citations and 15 written warnings. They also arrested 21 individuals for underage drinking, two people for each crime of carrying a fake ID and furnishing alcohol to a minor, and one was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.
Station Commander Christopher J. Terrana said in a statement that the “calm and orderly environment is due in no small part to the leadership and planning of the I-ACT Executive Committee and its partners.” He also commended IUP students and alumni for the respect and adherence to the law over the weekend.
