At a meeting this morning, The Indiana County Commissioners approved a gas pipeline easement for a portion of the Hoodlebug Trail.
People’s Gas will replace a portion of natural gas pipeline across the Hoodlebug trail in Center township. Senior Land Agent Ron Dillon said that this will be between Old Route 119 and Yankeetown Avenue.
The project is expected to take no more than a week and will be done in conjunction with other projects. The project is expected to start sometime next year.
In other business, the Commissioners accepted the 2024 Help America Vote Act grant agreement that will reimburse the county up to $3000 for eligible costs related to voting equipment, processes, security, auditing, accessibility and voter education for the 2024 general election. The Commissioners also signed a reimbursement agreement for Federa-Aid Highway Projects for a project to provide access to about 10 acres of previously undeveloped area in the Route 119 Business Park.
