THREE FIRE DEPARTMENTS CALLED OUT FOR FIRE CALL IN GREEN TOWNSHIP

Three fire companies were called out early this morning to what was initially reported as a structure fire in Green Township.

Indiana County 911 dispatched the Commodore, Cherry Tree and Hope fire departments along with Citizens Ambulance to a fire that was reported on Cherry Road in Cherry Tree.  Sean Fox of the Cherry Tree fire department said that the fire was a false alarm, as a man was burning old lumber late at night.

All units were quickly cancelled.
