A bill is on its way to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro that will close a loophole concerning artificial intelligence images of minors and child sexual abuse materials.
Senate Bill 1213 was introduced earlier this year concerning the sharing of intimate images without consent. Currently, the practice is illegal but the law does not have anything set up for the use of AI and deepfake images. The bill passed the State Senate in June, was amended by the State House, and was given final passage in the Senate earlier last week.
