A man charged with arson in an apartment complex in Indiana Borough will go before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco for a pre-trial hearing this morning.
29-year-old Kailum Jamal Miller of Indiana is charged with four counts each of Arson with danger of death or bodily injury and reckless endangerment, five counts each of arson-related reckless endangerment, dangerous burning and reckless burning or exploding, three counts of possession of explosive or incendiary materials, and single counts of risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief and failure to control a dangerous fire. The charges were filed in connection with the fire on February 12th at the apartments in the 300 block of Maple Street. Police said he lit a mattress and coat on fire then fled the scene. He was later picked up by police. Three people were displaced by the fire.
A criminal call hearing is set for November 1st.
