IUP’s founding dean of the proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine was recognized as a fellow of the American College of Neuropsychiatrists earlier this month.
Dr. Miko Rose received her fellowship status from The Fellow of the American College of Neuropsychiatrists and American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists during the 2024 Osteopathic Medical Education Conference. She joins fewer than 150 physicians nationwide in holding the “fellow” designation.
Rose also presented two programs during the conference. One was called “In the Zone: An Osteopathic Approach to Peak Performance” and it was co-sponsored by three academies. The other was a program for medical students in attendance on mindset and mindfulness techniques to help enhance resilience.
Rose was named the college’s founding dean in November.
