Children in the Penns Manor School District will be able to benefit from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program.
The program will provide books to children from birth to age five. The books will be delivered to their home each month at no cost to the families. In the Penns Manor school district, the program will be paid for through funds from the United Way for the first year, but the district wishes to have the Penns Manor foundation take over funding in subsequent years. If children take part in the program from birth to age five, they will receive 60 books.
The charitable effort from Dolly Parton started in 1995 and has already gifted over 200 million free books to children across the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
To sign up for the program, you can log on to a link below. Once confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email from the Imagination Library, and the first book will come in one to two months.
