School will continue normally today after threat investigation was reported yesterday at the Northern Cambria School District.
In a post on the district’s Facebook page, superintendent Dr. Laura Fisanick said they were made aware of the threat on social media by some district students. After an investigation, it was determined that the person who posted the threats initially was not a district student, and there was no evidence to make the threat credible. As a precaution, there will be an increased police presence at the school today, and at tonight’s football game. State and local police were involved in the investigation.
Later in the day, the district announced that the State Police identified the student who posted the threats and reiterated that the threats were not credible, and that student would be arrested.
Details on the threat have not been released by district officials.
