The Marion Center School Board approved three contracts from Shadco, LLC. at their meeting Monday night.
One of the proposals allows Shadco to bore a tunnel from McCreery Elementary to the flag pole for installing conduits for new external cameras, while the other two allow them to pave and excavate the Rayne Elementary parking lot, as well as build of a two-foot extension to the existing driveway.
Board President Gregg Sacco said the two projects at Rayne Elementary are separate issues.
The total cost of all three projects is approximately $32,380, which will be paid for out of the capital projects fund. No timetable has been set for them.
In other business, the board approved the first reading of changes to several district policies, including bullying/cyberbullying, opening exercises, and maintaining professional student/adult boundaries. They also scheduled their reorganization meeting for December 3 at 7 p.m.
