RIVER VALLEY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES CONTRACT WITH SEIU

On Tuesday, the River Valley School Board approved a bond issue to help with the stadium project and with infrastructure across campus.

The $7 million bond issue will cover portions of the stadium project, but Board President Rick Harper said that part of the infrastructure improvements includes air conditioning.

In other business, the board approved the contract with the Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ.  Harper said the main change of the contract was separating the HVAC and maintenance workers from the custodians with a separate pay bracket.

The contract is retroactive to July 1st of this year and ends June 30, 2029.
