Indiana County First Responders have had a busy few days recently and Friday was no different.
Two vehicle accidents were reported yesterday. One was a collision between a car and a Brink’s Truck at the entrance to Giant Eagle on Ben Franklin Road in White Township at 8:54 AM that brought Indiana Fire Association Rescue Squad members, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance. The other accident was reported at 2:13 PM on Route 286 West in Conemaugh Township. Tunnelton and Saltsburg fire departments, Murrysville EMS and state police were called out.
Two physical rescues were reported by Indiana County 911. The first was on Griffith Road at 3:57 PM that brought Armagh fire crews and West End Ambulance, the other was a Griffith Road in another county. Commodore fire department was called to help at 6:38 PM.
And a brush fire was reported on Route 422 in Armstrong Township that brought the Elderton Fire department out at 11:50 PM. This marks the 61st brush fire of the year.
