Monday night, the Center Township Supervisors approved advertising an ordinance concerning solar panels.
The proposed ordinance sets fees for businesses and homeowners for the solar panels, rules on how and where on a property they can be placed, but Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder, it will also protect the township if the solar array is decommissioned.
The ordinance will be up for final approval next month.
The supervisors did not have the 2025 tentative budget on the agenda, but they are saying that the budget is on track to have no tax increases for township residents. A special meeting is expected to be called later this month to approve advertising the budget.
